RE: bunkhouse 5th wheel

Check out the offerings from CrossRoads @ crossroadsrv.com. We have the CF30QB and loved the features of the factory installed rear hitch for a bike rack, large side storage door for kid bikes / toys. The quality is good and the factory support is outstanding. You can actually get a hold of someone. For more information check out the Crossroad forum under the buyer guides on their website.

RE: crossroads cruiser.

I had an issue with mine, but the dealer and Crossroads have been great to work with. What sold me was the ability to reach someone at the factory and their willingness to speak with me on the technical questions I had. If you unsure call them yourself and or arrange a plant tour.

RE: Diesel Vs Gas -Ford milage- - UPDATED

Another to factor to consider is resale / trade-in value.. The diesel will be much higher... Have you check Ebay out for used 1's? It's not uncommon to see 5 year old 150-250k miles diesel trucks looking to get between $15 -$20k. Rough estimate that only about 45% depreciation on a vehicle that will still run another 100k before a major rebuild. If you plan on keeping it for many miles go diesel.

RE: Fiver Hitch Gear

I just put a 18K Reese Signature Slide in my short bed F250.. What sold me was how popular Reese was across the country in case of parts or service and I like the fact of no bed rails. A Super Glide would have been nice too, but I only pull a couple of weekend a month during the summer. If you Reese Sig. go with the 18k because you get a better a head and the increased is less than $150.00.

RE: DIRECTV or DISH network

I was a loyal Dish customer for over 10 years... I won't ever use them again, because the customer service and account management sucks. Their customer service mainly resides overseas (India, Philippines) and you can't understand the customer care rep. I found that you need to make multiple calls to get someone here in the states. AVOID DISHNETWORK.

RE: Duro trailer tires???

Stay away from them !!!!!! I had to replace all of them on my '06 MaxLite 23RS after 3,000 miles. All tires had sidewall cracks, some large enough to hold a dime. I have pictures if you would like them. The tires come with a 1 year warranty and 50% replacement anything after that. I notice the sidewalls month 14 (2 months) after expiration as the TT was in storage all winter. Spoke with Duro who was no help. Spoke with the dealer and R-Vision who agreed to reimburse me up to $96.00 per tire. I replaced them all with TowMaster Tire which are where made in Canada. No more China junk tires for me. Stay away...
The Chinese can't make dog food, so I'm most certainly not going to put my family's safety on their tires.

RE: Tire/New Trailer

My advise spend some time looking for tires made outside of China. Hell the Chinese can't even make dog food right. I just had an issue with Duros that came on my '06 Max Lite. I noticed 3 months after my 1 year warranty expired that I had major sidewall cracking on ALL tires. Not just the tires the sun hit. Called Duro who gave me their standard junky warranty policy which covers 50% of the cost of new tires. Not any labor.. So basically Duro wasn't any help on these tires with about 3,000 miles on them. My next call was to the dealer and R-Vision to see if they could help. R-Vision allow 100% replacement of tires of my choosing. I went with a TowMaster tire, that was made in Canada. I have never heard of TowMaster until I began to look around so I'm uncertain on how they will hold up, but I do know the tires I have are stamped Canada on the sidewall.

RE: Rockwood vs. Maxlite???

Both trailers are of similar quality and fall into the same group. Go with what your gut tells you and the feelings you get from the dealer. For more information on Max-Lite and the R-Vision products check out:
